Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage uses techniques from deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage techniques. You will be assessed for movement and function to plan the treatment specific to you.

Your massage therapist will use their hands, arms and elbows to work muscles, joints and connective tissues. There may be muscle stretching, gentle joint mobilisation, sustained pressure, with slow deep strokes as your body is brought back in to balance to heal.

Remedial massage is a therapeutic practice that plays a crucial role in managing and alleviating musculoskeletal pain and discomfort. By targeting specific areas of tension, injuries, or chronic pain, remedial massage promotes healing, improves circulation, and enhances overall physical function. It combines various techniques tailored to the individual’s needs, providing not only physical relief but also contributing to mental well-being through stress reduction and relaxation. As an integral component of a holistic approach to health, remedial massage supports rehabilitation, prevents further injury, and improves quality of life, making it a valuable addition to conventional medical treatments.
